i'm not really sure what's going on with these, but i like them...

i'm so glad to be getting paid tomorrow, i have lots to do, i want to get that BCBG dress i mentioned, and i really need some clothes that aren't too casual, but aren't party dresses either... some sort of middle ground, especially skirts... i only have like, 15 skirts, it is ridiculous, i have so many nice shirts, but i can basically only wear them with shorts, and those are really going out of season, and shoes, the shoe situation is getting really dire...  but i need to save some money, so i've got to keep the amount of money i spend on clothes pretty low... ahh! it's going to be a long morning, i don't even know what to wear!

ok, so lets be realistic...

sorry, i've been pretty boring recently, i've been working a lot, and have not been doing too much else, but i am getting excited about the holiday season, i bought this dress yesterday at H&M and i am in love with it! its sparkly and cute and a good length/puffiness ...my plans for today got cancelled and i was thinking about sewing, but i think i'm going to do some christmas shopping first, but on the topic of sewing, i was looking at this book on 1940s fashion and i found this picture... i really like it, and it's given me an idea for a party dress which may or may not work, haha... but i think i will give it a whirl, but not today, if i get to sewing today it'll be jacket i've been waiting to start, now that i've got the measurements i need... i am really behind on everything, i need to take a little vacation to get some work done, but i can't afford to

so, these are my halloween costumes, the first one is my Clockwork Orange costume for work, the second costume is me as my friend Dan... it is not bad, but i think i mat change it to dan/any former "Carpenter's [Union Hall, obviously] kid" (notice the SIDS shirt, also the Buzzing Bees and Red Shale pins (the third pin is Gang of Four)) also, if you didn't notice, i am wearing real pants! weird... hmmmm..... yeah

money!

so, i got paid today, hurrah! i put money into my savings account, got everything i needed to buy today and am still on budget (in all fairness my paycheck was a good bit more than i budgeted for, thanks to overtime and working on Thanksgiving, so that made it a bit easier)! i also DID NOT buy a beautiful BCBG dress that i absolutely must have for the holiday season, even though i could've if i didn't buy anything else today... but no, i am going to wait and if it's still there when i get paid again in two weeks, then i will buy it ...it better be, it's really a darling dress ...sewing wise, i really was planning to get some stuff done today, but i ended up picking up a shift at work, so i did not... but next friday, sewing, i promise, and hopefully i'll have time to get started after work some day so things will get done more quickly ...but, sewing aside, i am pretty proud of myself for forcing myself to save a chunk of my paycheck and staying on budget (i know it's only been a day, but i find the day i get paid is always the hardest day to not spend my money), so, you'd better be proud of me too ...also, i will post costume photos tomorrow
